Turisticke organizacije Prijestonice Cetinje i Glavnog grada Podgorice, u saradnji sa MZ Žabljak Crnojevica, organizuju manifestaciju „Vece sa prijateljima na Žabljaku Crnojevica“, u subotu, 22. jula, sa pocetkom u 19 sati, na trgu Žabljaka Crnojevica u cilju promocije ovog znacajnog kulturno-istorijskog mjesta.

Cetinje Jazz Fest is the manifestation which is taking place at the Montenegrin old royal capital since 2010. Event organisers for the fourth time are the Tourism Organisation of The Old Royal Capital Cetinje and The Old Royal Capital Cetinje.
Petar II Petrović Njegoš (13 November 1813 – 31 October 1851) Montenegrin bishop and ruler is the most significant poet in Montenegrin language and one of the greatest poets of European and world literature.
“The development of spiritual values in Montenegro is closely related to the history of Montenegrin people. Endless wars for freedom found its expression in self-awareness of the people and its mental creations. These in turn raised fighting spirit of the people and affected continutity of values. This is how the spirit of freedom was constituted and it became the main characteristic of Montenegrin people. As a motive, it has greatly determined poetic thought of Montenegrin as well as entire artistic expression.
In the process of forming Montenegrin independence the works of Petar II Petrović Njegoš were created: they resulted from national epos and moral tradition and became an authentic poetic vision and synthesis of path of freedom and spiritual life of Montenegrins. The works of Petar II Petrović Njegoš: The Mountain Wreath, The Ray of the Microcosm, The False Tsar Stephen the Little and other, they sum up the best content and value emerged in the development of Montenegrin society. It contributes to formation and affirmation of Montenegrin national entity and at the same time ultimate achievement of domestic poetic expression. Works of Njegoš mark the beginning of modern literature in Montenegro and has therefore influenced it greatly”-prof. Slobodan Tomović. Njegoš wrote his works in the foot of Orlov krš. It is the only place they could be given birth to. Montenegrins have provided the poet with material for him to create a wreath of fame to himself and to his people.
There are a lot of reasons to call for his name.
